The Ardlethan Quick Shear is a much-loved annual event held at the Ardlethan Show, bringing together our local community for a day of excitement, skill, and friendly competition. Shearing isn’t just a job – it’s a sport, and this event showcases talented shearers who travel from near and far to compete against some of the best in the industry.

It’s not just for the professionals either. We love getting the next generation involved with our fun kids’ shear, where children can sign up and have a go shearing a “sheep” covered in shaving cream – always a crowd favourite!

There’s plenty happening throughout the day, with raffles, great prizes, and a relaxed, social atmosphere. The BBQ and bar run in the shed keep everyone well fed and refreshed while they enjoy the action.

The Ardlethan Quick Shear is all about community, competition, and celebrating the shearing industry in a fun and welcoming way. We look forward to seeing you there each year!
